Holiday beer

A friendly beer swap with friends in San Diego and nyc resulted in many yummy beers. Sadly I felt that this cold I have is unfair to the quality of available brews. I enjoyed very much, Prescott brewing's Ponderosa india pale ale and Grand Canyon's Black Iron IPA. I believe in the healing powers of Hops :)

SunUp!

We (T-Rex and I) then went to Sun Devil Liquors!

Sun Up was yummy.

And I had mikeller Hoppy Easter which was STOLEN from my fridge by my
wife...

All good times. The brewwer from SunUp was awesome. He genuinely took
the time to talk with us. It was awesome and he was NOT a douche!

Now at Papago and enjoying New Belgium Lips of Faith "Erics Ale" sour

Thank you SO MUCH Jess! :)

Sun devil liquor!

Another tasting! Holy crap!!!

So whole foods team member told us that SunUp is at Sun Devil!

Very nice and "speakeasy" ish

Ipa- super punch you in the face hoppy. Travis loves it. 6.2%

Whole Foods Green Flash Class!

Starting with Diamondback Dist rep we're tasting:

Green Flash IPA WOW was that hoppy for the sake of being hoppy. Travis
says Chalky

LeFreak I never would have guessed 9.2% That was yummy :)

Imperial IPA- definitely more smooth than the IPA, but at 9.4% a taste
is good

Stout- wow, lots of words on the label. 8.8 % medicinal, paint, nice
and smooth

Grand Cru- 9.1 % and delish. Very delish.

Barleywine- 10.9 % and... Not the best barleywine I've had. Too bad
the finished the tasting with this :-/

Word to the wise: Cutthroat Porter by Odell is a completely different experience on nitro. Yucca Tap Room in Tempe has finally become a tap room and has it.
Todays beer o' amazingness: Lagunitas Undercover.
This phenominal double IPA pushes the realm of Barley Wine without the bitterness. Absolutely a must try!!

Quelque Chose

Can't pronounce it, but this Quebec beer is quite tasty. A bit Kool-
Aid ish on the cherry end, but extremely delish

A blend of dark ale and brown ale brewed with cherries.

Hopf Dunkle Weise

The head is so thick, you could float a small child on it :)

Oh I love this beer, makes me all warm and toasty. Sharing with
friends makes for a great evening

Really?

Oh pretty bartender girl? Did you REALLY "accidentally" pour this
beer? Cuz... There are only 3 other people here and none of them are
drinking beer :D I thank you anyways! ;)

Unitas Brewing out of Salt Lake City. WOW this is a delicious beer.
This could seriously be my current "favorite" beer for drinking.

I say "for drinking" because there are so many beers I like to drink,
but not to drink. To try. To see how they are. Investigate. And even
though they are delicious... Not for drinking. For tasting.

This is for drinking!

Moto

So there is a sushi/bowl place near work that ALWAYS has new and loony
beers. The first time I dropped by, it was 7 Avery handles. Who DOES
that?!?

Today I'm enjoying Sierra's Fritz & Ken's 30th Imperial Stout. 9.2%

DAMMIT! seriously... I ordered it before I knew the abv. How the hell
am I supposed to get home after a pint of 9.2% ?!?

Water. Big glass of water. And slow drinking.

Yummy beer tho- seriously thick chalky head, stays dense no matter how
long it sits. Definitely get chocolate and coffee. And smoke. It's
delicious and doesn't even taste too boozy.

Thank you fritz and Ken!

Breckenridge's Small Batch 471 packs quite a big punch of flavor. It's intensly hoppy overtones reside into a smooth finish with just a little acidity. 9.2 ABV
Dave's Electic Beer: IPA is a little mild, but the Oatmeal Stout definately makes up for it with lots of oatmeal, chocolate, and toffee. Delicious!
